Welcome to Slateford Medical Practice

With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

Lunchtime closures - from September 2019 the practice will be closed on the 1st Tuesday and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 12.30 -13.30 for practice development and training. Dates for closure will be listed shortly and a emergency contact number to be used during these times.

TRAINING AFTERNOONS 2019-  The practice will be closed on a small number of Wednesday afternoons from 12.30 for training.  Please call 111 in an emergency.

Birthday Clinics

We have introduced a new annual review recall process. We hope the new process will be more efficient and less time consuming for patients.  Please see the Further Information section for details.

Up to Date Contact details

We are increasingly finding that the contact telephone numbers and addresses we have on record are out of date.  Please help us by advising the Practice promptly of any changes.  You can do this via the link on the Home screen or by handing the information to Reception.

Staff changes 2019

A number of changes are taking place here at Slateford Medical Practice during 2019 with new members of the GP team and some changes to the existing team. Please see further information for details.
