If you require regular medication your doctor may arrange for you to be put on repeat prescribing. This will enable you to obtain your prescription without seeing a doctor each time your prescription is required.
All requests should be in writing and made in one of the following ways:
- In person/post – forward your repeat slip to the surgery having clearly marked the items required. If you would like us to return your prescription through the post, please attach a stamped addresses envelope.
- By e-mail - to Prescription.firstname.lastname@example.org
- Online – follow the link at the top of this page to complete a simple registration.
Please note we do not accept telephone requests for prescriptions.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for repeat prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. Requests for acute items not included on your repeat request slip will take longer to process.
